Dr. Matt Packard is a third-generation dentist, so you could say that dentistry is in his blood. Even as a small child, he knew he wanted to be a dentist. His plan was solidified when he went with his father on a humanitarian trip to Honduras to provide dental care to orphans. The trip left him with a powerful impression that serving others through dentistry was in his future.
Dr. Matt completed his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University, then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. He is also a graduate of the Engel Institute of Implantology and is a member of the Tau Kappa Omega honor society. He has practiced dentistry since 2011.
Dr. Matt takes pride in his ability to truly listen to his patients’ goals and help them accomplish those goals, whether they’re for cosmetic reasons or just overall dental health. Dr. Matt loves helping patients smile with confidence and enjoys being at work every day for his patients and our team. He enjoys that, although we take dentistry seriously, everyone in our office likes to have a good time.
While away from the office, Dr. Matt stays active. He loves being outdoors, whether he’s playing pickleball, volleyball, or adult softball. He enjoys playing at the park or beach with his family and coaching his kids’ sports teams. He loves music and playing piano and organ for his local congregation. He is a woodworker and also an avid gardener. He loves the long growing seasons that Southern California offers. Another aspiration of Dr. Matt’s is to be better than the average golfer.
Dr. Matt is married to Annie. Together they have four kids, who can sometimes be spotted at the office sneaking lollipops from the front desk.
